Easter Greetings 2025

Greetings from Whitechapel! It's half past seven in the morning, I'm in the kitchen as usual, and the coffee is brewing a little too slowly.

A guest from Italy is asking me if there is a Catholic mass in Italian somewhere today. Two young women from Berlin have danced through most of the night and are still laughing.

And I think to myself: That's what resurrection sometimes looks like. Easter means something new to me every year.

Sometimes hope, sometimes letting go, sometimes a new beginning. This year I think a lot about responsibility – and trust. Responsibility, because our house is changing. Quietly and steadily. We are modernizing processes, making improvements, and thinking ahead. And we remain human despite everything. Warming. Open. Genuine.

Trust, because you – as a guest, as a friend – fill this house with life. With questions, stories, laughter. With silent prayers. With people from all over the world.

Recently, a woman stood at the reception, maybe in her mid-sixties. She had been here twenty years ago – with her husband.

She looked around slowly and said quietly: "A lot has changed. But something still smells the same as it did back then."

And I thought: Maybe that's exactly our job here – that not everything stays the same, but not everything changes either...

But we are also working on big news...

A project is currently running quietly in the background: Our website is being completely revised.

Soon you will be able to book your room online yourself – quickly, easily and whenever you want.

But more on that at the beginning of summer...

But now... Happy Easter from Wynfrid House!

Whatever Easter means to you – whether faith, hope or just a few quiet days – I sincerely wish you that it will be good.

That you find strength, new joy, and maybe a beginning.

And who knows – maybe we'll see you again soon, over tea and toast, with a few new stories in your luggage. Happy Easter and all the best from Whitechapel, Your
